10/09/2007 Toy Recalled Due to Lead Paint Toy manufacturer Matell has recalled some Fisher-Price and Barbie toys due to concerns of lead-based paint content.

If you think your child has been exposed to lead-based paint call the National Poisons Centre (0800 764766) or take them to your doctor for a blood-lead level.

If ingested by children, flakes of lead-based paint can cause irritability, upset stomach and toxicity in the brain and blood.
