08/10/2007 Chemical Spill Kills Eels Recently more than 50 eels were poisoned by an unknown chemical, and several more have serious chemical burns. It is believed that cement was washed into storm water drains from nearby construction.

It is important to avoid washing any chemical into storm water drains, as this can be very harmful to animals and people that come into contact with the contaminated water. Report any chemical spill to your nearest fire department.
