12/12/2007 Twelve year old boy dies after sniffing fuel The New Zealand Herald reports that a 12 year old Australian boy has died after intentionally inhaling fuel, in order to get "high".

Solvent abuse can cause "sudden sniffing death" at any time, in both first-time and long-time users. Long term use can lead to brain and lung injury.
