05/02/2008 Tramping tourist poisoned by berries A man who ate unidentified berries was discovered unconscious on a Fiordland walking track by fellow trampers. He recovered following medical care at Queenstown and Dunedin.

New Zealand has a lot of beautiful flora, but it is very important never to eat any unidentified plant. If someone ingests a plant, call the National Poisons Centre on 0800 764766.
