24/04/2009 Woman Poisons More Than 60 With Curry
Japan's Supreme Court has sentenced a woman to death for killing four and making more than 60 ill by poisoning a large pot of curry at a summer festival in 1998.
The woman had added arsenic to the curry. Arsenic is highly toxic and causes an upset stomach, heart toxicity and seizures.
Arsenic was historically used in NZ as a rat poison but is no longer available.
